Heaven received an angel. My love & prayers are with everyone, but know you will see him again. He is rejoicing with Aunt Teny and Uncle Vic and all those who were there to greet him. RIP my cousin!
Thomas Walter Potts, 73, a longtime resident of Granville Co. passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his home.
A native of Durham Co., he was the son of the late Thomas Victor Potts and Virginia Hobbs Potts. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Athol Mfg. in Butner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Ken Childers and the Rev. John Pritchard. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are two daughters, Joanna Goins and Amy Sturgill, and a son, Lennie Potts, six sisters, Patricia Deese, Sue Jackson, Rebecca Walker, Ginny Barton, Vada Wilson and Millie Long, one brother, Charlie Potts and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Potts and a son, Bobby Potts.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 -3:00 PM, Sunday, November 23, 2014 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of his sister, Rebecca Walker.
